Hello dear readers! Today I’m absolutely thrilled to share my completed cosplay project of Yamabuki Usami from “Hoshi no Otome to Rikka no Shimai”! This has been my passion project for nearly half a year, and finally seeing it come to life feels like pure magic~

This photoshoot was the culmination of months of planning, crafting, and countless sleepless nights! Bringing Yamabuki to life was especially meaningful to me as he’s such a unique character - a boy with feminine appearance who’s part of the “Alice * Rabbit” unit!

“Nice to meet you! I’m Yamabuki Usami from ‘Alice * Rabbit’. Let me tell you a story about girls aiming to become stars. Ah, though I may look like this, I’m actually male. Oh, I can see a gray aura around you. Don’t worry, let me recite a relaxing spell for you~”

Every time I think about this introduction, it captures everything I love about this character - the blend of gentleness and mystical energy that makes him so enchanting! Embodying this duality during the photoshoot was both challenging and incredibly rewarding!

This has undoubtedly been my most ambitious cosplay yet - the longest preparation time, highest difficulty, most expensive budget, and (according to my photographer) most labor-intensive shooting process! There were moments when I wondered if we’d ever reach the finish line, but seeing these photos now makes every challenge worthwhile!

👗 Costume Confessions 👗

I have to admit something about this cosplay - the bow tie was supposed to be part of the costume, but it accidentally fell off due to my carelessness! 😱 I ordered a replacement, but it didn’t arrive in time for the shoot. It’s a small detail, but as a perfectionist, it bothered me so much! Next time I’ll triple-check every accessory before shooting day arrives!

💕 About Yamabuki Usami 💕

For those unfamiliar with “Hoshi no Otome to Rikka no Shimai,” Yamabuki Usami is a fascinating character from the “Alice * Rabbit” unit. While presenting as feminine, he’s actually male, creating an interesting dynamic that challenges gender expectations in the story. His character combines mystical elements with a kind personality, making him a fan favorite despite being from a relatively obscure series!

When I realized there were virtually no cosplays of this character anywhere (I literally searched worldwide!), I knew I had to bring him to life. It feels incredible to possibly be the first to fully cosplay this character - like I’m contributing something unique to the cosplay community!

🌟 Final Thoughts 🌟

While looking for inspiration for this blog post, I was shocked to discover that my previous outdoor cosplay photos were already indexed on Google search! That was quite the surprise (lol)! It’s a bit disappointing that Ensemble game cosplays are so rare - practically non-existent - but that only makes me more determined to create more! As a dedicated Ensemble fan, I’m planning to bring more characters to life when time permits!

Despite the small imperfections (I’m still thinking about that missing bow tie! 😭), I’m genuinely proud of how this project turned out. There’s always room for improvement, but capturing Yamabuki’s essence was my primary goal, and I feel we succeeded there!
